This is the first time I am visiting this site. It is very nice to have the Divan at your finger tip. The page's design is beautiful and pleasing to the eys. It would be nice not to display the poems in the same page as the indices. It is also helpful to have some information about each index, such as which Ghazal it refers to. The site is great.

Thank you for this webpage about Hafiz. I found a book of his poems (The Gift) only a few days ago. These poems have been having a strange and wonderfully intense effect on me, like no poetry I have ever read. It is hard to describe in words. I become filled with intense feelings of love, wonder, expansiveness. Naturally I am now trying to learn more about Hafiz. I only wish I could read/speak Persian so I could appreciate the sounds of the original poetry.

you have done a wonderfuul work but there is some mistake or misunderestanding in your translation for example in ghazal No:57 , the One who Hafez are taking about is Emame Zaman according to his clue such as ( khale meshkin - dame isa - khatame Soleyman....) but you use "her" pronoun insted of "his".

I am looking for the interpretation of on eparticular Ghazal which you don't have on your web site. I am not sure of the number but it's in the 'S' category and talks about of all the flowers of the world, I have the best one...what more do I need.. The translations are seriously FLAWED! Not even close to what Hafiz says. I think your translations are a disgrace to Hafiz and Hafiz’s poetry. I read all the prays and good words about your site…I don’t know if these people can read and understand Farsi or not…anyone who can I am sure is disappointed deeply. Stop playing with one of the greatest works in the history of Farsi Literature. Give up rhyming and be honest. Just write the meaning in English if you want and if you understand Hafiz. Good Luck
